教室理念
微生物学の教育・研究をとおして、分野の新しい知識の発見と公表をミッションとします。この活動を通して、近畿大学内や学術領域内だけでなく、近隣地域社会、国内はもとより国際社会に貢献することを目指しています。
Our mission is to discover and publicize new knowledge in the fields of Microbiology, as well as to provide service to our institution, profession, and community.
教授メッセージ
私は、近畿大学に2016年に赴任いたしました。それまでの21年間は、米国ユタ大学とルイジアナ州立大学の医学部において教育・研究をしておりました。私以外の微生物学講座の教員も、全員が米国留学経験者（3.5年から7年）です。そこで教員が講義・レジュメの一部を英語で行ったり、海外からのゲストを招いて英語による特別講義をして頂いたりなど、教育・研究ともに医学生・医局員が国際舞台で活躍できるよう、人材の育成を心掛けています。教員は講義の中で、洗練されたスタイルで微生物学の基礎医学知識を伝え、かつ楽しく聴講できるものになるように努めています。学生の皆さんには“プロフェッショナリズム”、“協調と信頼”、“探求心”、“講義・実習の誠実な参加”が学業成就の秘訣であることを常に強調しており、その積極的な実践を期待します。
Ikuo Tsunoda, MD, PhD, serves as Chair and Professor of the Department of Microbiology since 2016 after he worked at Medical Schools in the United States for 21 years. In Microbiology Department, the other faculty members also have research experience in the US from 3.5 years to 7 years. Thus, we aim to teach Medical Students and Graduate Students to be international doctors/researchers in the future. Faculty goals for our course are 1) Convey important information, 2) Make the course ‘state-of-the-art’, 3) Assure the information is relevant to medicine, and 4) Make the course enjoyable. Student ingredients for success are “Professionalism”, “Cooperation & Trust”, “Desire to Learn”, and “Attend Faithfully”.
